Chris Iggo, chief investment officer for core investments at AXA IM, points out the importance of identifiable and measurable performance indicators and strikes a blow for ESG regulations.

‘We could slap the word “sustainable” on a strategy and it doesn’t really mean anything unless the details are clear in terms of what the fund can and can’t invest in,’ he said. ‘Adhering to regulation is always painful, but ultimately, I think it’s to the benefit of the end-investor.’
